More than a wedding. Feel it all over again.
I'm Denis Davydov, a destination wedding cinematographer and the filmmaker behind Lens Square Films. I film weddings the way a documentary is made: real moments, real words and real people, without staging or posing.
I'm based in Riga, Latvia, and travel for couples marrying in Italy and across Europe. I've filmed weddings for more than five years, from a villa near Bergamo to castles in Latvia and Bali.
Most of the day I'm in the background, watching for the moments that would otherwise pass unnoticed: a parent's face during the vows, the first quiet minute after the ceremony, the speech that makes the whole table laugh. And when the dancing starts, I'm in the middle of it.
Sound matters as much as the picture. Vows, readings and speeches are recorded cleanly, so the wedding film keeps people's actual words. Everything is filmed on a cinema camera, with drone footage where the venue allows.
A teaser film of up to one minute arrives within a week. A wedding film of 5 to 10 minutes, told in order and made to watch without skipping, arrives within a month.
